WisdomTree Highlights XRP’s 20x Potential as It Renames HYIN Fund

  • XRP needs a 20x surge to surpass Bitcoin’s market cap.
  • WisdomTree rebrands HYIN fund to reflect private credit strategy.
  • Faster transactions make XRP a strong real-time payments contender.

XRP’s ability to compete with Bitcoin is once again in focus following renewed attention to a report by WisdomTree. The document outlined XRP’s significant technical advantage, particularly its transaction speed, positioning it as a viable option for real-time payments.

XRP carries out close to 1,500 transactions per second, compared to an average of 7 in Bitcoin. This difference outlines XRP’s appealing high-throughput feature, which means the efficiency required in a high-volume usage case.

Crypto researcher SMQKE, referring to the report on X, stated that WisdomTree has estimated that XRP would require a 20x price leap to achieve the Bitcoin market capitalization.

With XRP moving about at $3.59 and a market cap of 212.27 billion, the kind of surge to that would get the price to a point of $71.80 and the market cap to approximately $4.24 trillion.

Compared to that, Bitcoin trades at a price of $120,423 and a market cap of $2.39 trillion. If XRP attains its estimated value, it would overtake Bitcoin in terms of market capitalization by approximately $1.85 trillion.

WisdomTree Says XRP Growth Depends on Four Major Factors

The report outlined that for XRP to reach this valuation realistically, four key factors must align. These include mass adoption, regulatory clarity, expansion of the XRP ecosystem, and strong market sentiment. While XRP’s technical edge is clear, success depends on broader market developments.

The further growth of XRP can be attributed to the growing interest of investors and institutions in using their products. Its transaction cost and network speed continue to be the focus of attraction in the digital payments space.

Bitcoin has a slow network architecture that focuses on decentralization and security in the long term. XRP is, however, a different case with a utility-driven model that makes it applicable in other areas of use, particularly in systems where finances operate rapidly.

WisdomTree Renames Income Fund Amid Focus Shift

WisdomTree also announced a rebranding of its WisdomTree Alternative Income Fund to the WisdomTree Private Credit and Alternative Income Fund. The fund, ticker HYIN, follows the Gapstow Private Credit and Alternative Income Index and sports a 4.32 percent expense ratio.

Jeremy Schwartz, Global Chief Investment Officer at WisdomTree, said that this alteration indicates an even stronger concentration on private credit. The fund provides transparent access at the individual level to historically institutional credit markets via a liquid ETF structure and format.

WisdomTree’s analysis reinforces XRP’s growth potential. If market conditions align, XRP could move closer to overtaking Bitcoin’s top position in the digital asset space.
