- Kaal Dhairya said sustainable development remains the priority as underperforming projects stay paused while core technology advances steadily ahead together.
Shiba Inu community veteran Mazrael has hinted that major updates are being prepared for Shiba Eternity and the SHIB Metaverse, suggesting both ecosystem projects continue progressing toward a relaunch. According to Mazrael, developers have been working behind the scenes despite both initiatives remaining temporarily unavailable.
The latest update emerged during a conversation on X after a community member asked whether Shiba Eternity was already online. According to Mazrael, who serves as an advisor for the game, “lots” is currently in progress. He also stated that both Shiba Eternity and the SHIB Metaverse have many updates waiting for their eventual return.
Although Mazrael did not provide a launch timeline, his remarks indicate that development efforts have continued throughout the pause. Consequently, the comments have renewed interest among SHIB supporters who have been waiting for official progress on both ecosystem projects.
Earlier reports suggested that several SHIB initiatives had slowed while developers reviewed long-term priorities. However, Mazrael’s latest comments indicate that work on the two flagship projects remains active.

Shiba Eternity and SHIB Metaverse Continue Moving Forward
Shiba Eternity launched in October 2022 as a free-to-play collectible card game for mobile users. Following its successful debut, the Shiba Inu team expanded development by creating a Play-to-Earn Web3 version built on the Shibarium blockchain. Additionally, the Web3 edition entered closed beta testing during the second half of 2024. Since then, official announcements have remained limited, prompting questions from community members about the project’s future.
Mazrael’s latest comments now suggest that both the game and the metaverse are receiving additional improvements before returning. While the scope of those updates remains undisclosed, development appears to be continuing behind the scenes. Besides the game itself, the SHIB Metaverse is also expected to return through a different access point. Earlier, Mazrael indicated that the virtual world would eventually become available through the Shib.io website instead of operating on a separate domain. That transition followed the retirement of several legacy SHIB domains.
The latest update also aligns with the broader direction outlined by Shiba Inu developers for 2026. At the end of 2025, lead developer Kaal Dhairya explained that projects failing to generate sustainable revenue would be paused or discontinued. Nevertheless, he emphasized that the SHIB vision remained intact despite those difficult decisions.
Long-Term Strategy Remains Focused on Building
Dhairya also stated that the team’s priority for 2026 would center on rebuilding core technology while strengthening projects capable of supporting long-term ecosystem growth. That strategy helps explain why some products entered temporary pauses instead of receiving immediate releases.
Mazrael’s latest update suggests Shiba Eternity and the SHIB Metaverse remain important parts of the Shiba Inu roadmap. Although neither project has received an official relaunch date, ongoing development indicates the team continues preparing both platforms before their public return.
