Ripple has expanded GSmart with policy-controlled artificial intelligence tools covering forecasting, liquidity, risk, reconciliation, and financial reporting. According to Ripple, the technology already operates across its enterprise customer base through the company’s Ripple Treasury platform.
The expansion addresses concerns about companies adopting AI agents without adequate governance for sensitive financial operations. However, Ripple separates financial calculations from the artificial intelligence interpreting information and producing recommendations.
Human employees retain approval authority because the platform cannot execute any recommended action without their authorization. Gartner estimates that an average Fortune 500 company could operate more than 150,000 artificial intelligence agents by 2028.

Enterprise Adoption Supports Ripple’s Strategy
Ripple reported measurable adoption among enterprise customers eligible to use specific GSmart tools within Ripple Treasury. Around 60% have enabled Risk Insights, which highlights exposure anomalies and potential breaches of treasury policies.
Moreover, 44 % use Forecast Insights to compare projected cash flows against results and identify developing liquidity gaps. Renaat Ver Eecke, Ripple Treasury’s senior vice president, emphasized that financial decisions must remain explainable, governed, and compliant.
He explained that GSmart follows organizational policies while presenting transparent recommendations and preserving human decision-making authority. The expansion supports Ripple’s plan to combine traditional cash management and digital asset operations within one platform.
As a result, finance teams can monitor, forecast, transfer, and earn from cash and digital asset balances worldwide. Ripple positions GSmart as a connected system for reducing fragmented treasury operations while maintaining governance, oversight, and auditability.
