Web3 projects have spent years trying to convince mainstream users that owning a token is worth the hassle of a wallet, a seed phrase, and a learning curve. nGRND Gold Protocol’s answer is to skip that argument entirely and meet people where they already are: picking match winners and arguing about player stats.
The Preserved Gold-supported Web3 platform has struck a strategic partnership with Predictfully, a free-to-play sports prediction app, that lets Predictfully’s users earn their way into nGRND.io’s Staking & Rewards Ecosystem simply by doing what they already do – predicting sports outcomes, without touching a crypto wallet at any point in the process.
A Prediction App With No House Edge
Predictfully has built its user base around a simple pitch: no stake, no odds, no bookmaker. Users sign up with an email or social login, then predict outcomes across football, basketball, American football, racing, rugby, boxing and cricket. Correct calls, early predictions and streaks all earn points, and weekly leaderboards pay out prizes funded by clubs and sponsors rather than betting markets.
The platform, built on the Avalanche blockchain, has been live in free-to-play mode since the third quarter of 2025 and has grown to more than 6,000 registered users and 250,000 on-chain transactions. It’s also building white-label versions for professional sports clubs and rights holders – meaning the Web3 rails already run underneath a product most users would never describe as “crypto.”
That’s precisely the audience nGRND Gold Protocol is after.
Eight Streams, One Token
Since nGRND.io launched in early August 2026, the platform has signed up more than 130,000 registered Participants who have completed over 700,000 engaged activities across what it calls eight Participation Streams – governance, impact, play, learning, advocacy, referrals, wellbeing and an AI-agent channel.

Holding NGRND tokens and staying active across those streams both factor into a Participant’s standing in the ecosystem, which is supported by nGRND Gold Protocol’s dual treasury that includes Preserved Gold rather than tokens alone.
Under the new partnership, sports prediction becomes one more on-ramp into that structure. A Predictfully user’s activity can now count toward participation in the nGRND Gold Protocol ecosystem, giving sports fans a path into Web3 rewards that starts with a football pick rather than a token purchase.
Two Audiences, One Bet
The logic cuts both ways. Predictfully gets exposure to a base of Web3 participants who are already comfortable with digital ownership and token rewards; nGRND Gold Protocol gets access to a mainstream sports audience it would otherwise have to win over from scratch.
David Lucatch, the Chair of nGRND Group, pitches it as a shift from ownership to utility: “It is not simply about owning a token – it is about what people can do with it and how they are rewarded for participating,” he said, describing Predictfully as “a simple, fun and free way for fans to participate and be rewarded.”
Predictfully CEO Ben White’s version of the same argument is blunter: fans have always made predictions, he said; they’ve just never been paid for it without a bookmaker taking a cut. Partnering with nGRND.io, in his framing, puts that habit in front of a community that “already understands what it means to own something real.”
Betting on Familiarity, Not Education
The partnership fits a pattern that’s become more common across Web3 in 2026: rather than pitching users on blockchain technology directly, projects are increasingly trying to attach themselves to activities people already do – gaming, prediction, fandom – and let the technology stay invisible in the background.
For the nGRND Gold Protocol, that means adding a genuinely different kind of activity to its eight Participation Streams. For Predictfully, it means a shot at converting free-to-play sports fans into participants in a broader token ecosystem without asking them to change a single habit.
The “engine” for the programme is powered by a Dynamic Soulbound Token – a customizable non-transferable digital passport issued to each Participant. It logs activity across all eight Participation Streams, converts that activity into Reward Points inside the Staking & Rewards Ecosystem, and determines a Participant’s share of the Rewards Pool distributions that the company says are funded by real-world activity from its gold programmes rather than by token sales.
Whether that chain – a sports pick becoming a Reward Point becoming distributed value – actually moves the needle for either platform, and whether the gold-supported ecosystem revenue behind it is substantial enough to fund it at scale, will show up in the numbers next quarter. For now, the two companies are betting that sports fandom is a better Web3 onramp than most of what crypto has tried before it.
