Binance Leads XRP Futures Trading as September Volumes Hold Near Six-Month Highs

In Brief:

  • Binance led XRP futures trading with $32.36 billion in September turnover, exceeding Bybit and OKX’s combined volumes by $8.54 billion.
  • Bybit recorded $12.5 billion in XRP futures turnover, while OKX posted $11.32 billion, bringing their combined total to $23.82 billion.
  • September XRP futures volumes increased from August, remaining among the highest in six months despite retreating from earlier record levels.

Binance led XRP futures trading in September with $32.36 billion in turnover, exceeding the combined volumes of Bybit and OKX. According to Arab Chain, overall trading activity increased from August and remained among the highest levels recorded over six months.

Bybit registered approximately $12.5 billion in September turnover, securing second place among the exchanges listed in the report. OKX followed with around $11.32 billion, bringing the combined trading volume across the three platforms to approximately $56.18 billion. Other exchanges contributed additional turnover, although the report did not provide individual figures for those platforms or a marketwide total.

Binance’s lead amounted to approximately $19.86 billion over Bybit and $21.04 billion over OKX during the reporting period. Its trading volume also exceeded the combined $23.82 billion recorded by those two competitors by approximately $8.54 billion.

Across the named exchanges, the figures showed substantial XRP futures participation, with each platform recording more than $11 billion. Arab Chain attributed the elevated activity to strong market interest and active trader participation across the derivatives market.

September’s improvement against August came alongside a broader retreat from earlier record volumes, leaving activity elevated despite that pullback. This distinction places the monthly increase within a longer trend rather than presenting September as a new trading record.

Binance’s Lead Anchors Elevated XRP Futures Turnover Across Major Exchanges

Binance handled approximately 2.6 times Bybit’s September volume and nearly 2.9 times the turnover recorded by OKX. Meanwhile, Bybit exceeded OKX by approximately $1.18 billion, producing a narrower gap between the second and third listed exchanges.

Together, Bybit and OKX contributed substantial activity, even though their combined turnover remained below Binance’s individual monthly figure. Arab Chain’s exchange breakdown showed Binance holding the largest share of XRP futures activity among the platforms it identified. Trading outside these three venues added to overall activity, but the available figures do not establish each exchange’s marketwide percentage.

The report characterized September’s higher turnover as evidence of sustained interest in XRP derivatives despite volumes easing from previous peaks. It also highlighted derivatives trading as an important component of XRP market activity, alongside the exchange-level distribution of turnover.

No August volume total accompanied the figures, preventing a precise calculation of September’s monthly growth from the reported data. Similarly, the absence of individual figures for other platforms limits comparisons beyond Binance, Bybit, and OKX in this breakdown.

September’s figures leave Binance leading the named XRP futures exchanges, while higher monthly turnover supports Arab Chain’s assessment of elevated participation.
