- The expanded agreement does not confirm XRP purchases or RLUSD use and leaves financial terms and expected trading volumes undisclosed.
Ripple Prime will provide brokerage, clearing, and financing services to Brevan Howard funds under an expanded agreement announced October 6. According to Ripple’s announcement, the partnership covers multiple asset classes and products across traditional and digital financial markets.
Brevan Howard manages $35 billion for institutional investors, including sovereign wealth funds, pension plans, foundations, and endowments. Its investment teams will access Ripple Prime’s unified platform, which aims to improve capital efficiency and simplify trading operations.
The agreement extends an existing relationship between the companies and adds brokerage services to their earlier investment ties. Brevan Howard Group Chief Operating Officer Alan McGroarty highlighted growing demand for infrastructure connecting digital assets with financial operations.
McGroarty expects Ripple’s platform to offer investment teams greater operational ease while improving how they manage capital across positions. Ripple Prime President Noel Kimmel described the expansion as a longer commitment between businesses operating across increasingly connected markets.

At the acquisition announcement, Hidden Road cleared $3 trillion annually and served more than 300 institutional clients. Its established operations supplied the brokerage infrastructure that Ripple now offers through the renamed business across several financial markets.
Additionally, funds managed by Brevan Howard affiliates participated in Ripple’s $500 million strategic investment round during 2025. The expanded agreement builds on that participation by introducing services for funds under the investment manager’s oversight. Neither company disclosed financial terms, individual fund allocations, or expected trading volumes associated with the expanded arrangement.
Ripple previously reported RLUSD collateral use among some brokerage customers, but that disclosure does not establish Brevan Howard’s intentions. The agreement centers on brokerage access and operational efficiency, with Brevan Howard expecting improvements across its investment teams.
