XRP users will soon be able to store, send, and receive their tokens through Cardano’s non-custodial Web3 wallet, Lace. This development marks a significant step forward in what appears to be a growing partnership between Ripple and Cardano.
Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson confirmed the upcoming integration during a live ‘Surprise AMA’ session on YouTube. While responding to a question about talks with Ripple, Hoskinson stated that discussions between Input Output Global (IOG) and Ripple are progressing well.
His remarks indicate that earlier tensions between the two blockchain entities may now be in the past.
In a move that reflects this improving relationship, Hoskinson revealed that IOG plans to enable full XRP functionality on the Lace Wallet. This means users will be able to hold, send, and receive XRP directly within the Lace platform.

At its launch in April 2023, the wallet supported only Cardano-based assets like ADA. Since then, updates have added Bitcoin support, and now XRP is next in line.
The Lace Wallet has been positioned as a multi-chain solution, with recent updates focused on expanding interoperability. Adding XRP support places the wallet in a better position to serve a broader user base and promotes interaction across blockchain networks.
XRP Users Set to Benefit From Midnight Airdrop
In addition to wallet integration, XRP users will also take part in the upcoming Midnight token airdrop. Hoskinson confirmed that holders of XRP remain eligible for the NIGHT token distribution.
Midnight is a privacy-centric blockchain built on Cardano, which supports applications handling sensitive data while maintaining security.
Within the Midnight ecosystem there includes two tokens, with NIGHT serving as the governance token and DUST used for shielded transactions. The token NIGHT functions as governance system coin and the DUST token enables shielded transactions.
The airdrop distribution spans eight blockchain networks but includes XRP Ledger among them.
Furthermore, Ripple’s Chief Technology Officer, David Schwartz, has extended an invitation to Hoskinson to speak at an upcoming Ripple event. The secretive details of this upcoming event remain undisclosed, but the invitation demonstrates expanding mutual trust and operational partnership between the organizations.
Indications show that collaboration between Ripple’s RLUSD and Cardano’s Midnight project may develop in the future. The Lace Wallet, integrating XRP support, together with Ripple, welcoming Hoskinson, signals an early-stage partnership development within their combined ecosystem.
The system integration of XRP with Lace Wallet, combined with the Midnight token airdrops, represents vital points in the developing Cardano-Ripple partnership trajectory.
These technological advances indicate a transformation from rivalrous interaction toward cooperative behavior which sets the stage for multiple joint projects in the upcoming years.
