Major cryptocurrencies faced a sharp pullback in the past 24 hours, reversing recent gains and sending top assets into the red. Bitcoin (BTC) dropped 2.7%, falling to $115,310 as traders locked in profits after a strong rally. Its 24-hour trading volume crossed $52 billion, though the market cap slipped slightly to $2.29 trillion.
Ethereum (ETH) was close behind, with a 5.2 percent loss, which took the price to $3,662.08. The intensity of selling surpassed daily turnover, reaching over $34 billion. The move shows the time is cooling its heels despite the recent bullish push.
XRP also came under pressure, losing 6.1% to settle at $2.95. The asset witnessed more than $6.6 billion in trading activity, but a short-term weakness sent it downwards.
BNB (BNB) dipped 3.5% to benefit $773.48 as there was less activity in the Binance ecosystem. Dogecoin (DOGE) also posted a more significant decline and is currently trading at $0.205, down 8.1 percent following a recent rally.
Solana (SOL) followed this trend and dropped by 6.8% to $168.34. TRON (TRX) declined 0.4% to $0.3249, Lido Staked Ether (STETH) slipped in tandem with ETH, falling 5.2% to $3,655.08.
