Coinbase Users Can Now Buy Crypto Instantly With Samsung Pay Integration

  • Coinbase adds Samsung Pay for instant crypto purchases and deposits.
  • Faster funding now possible as Coinbase links with Samsung Wallet.
  • U.S. and Canadian users gain new mobile crypto payment option.

Coinbase has introduced Samsung Pay as a new payment and deposit option for users in the United States and Canada. This update allows users to instantly fund their accounts and buy cryptocurrency using Samsung’s mobile wallet.

The feature is rolling out gradually, starting with selected users this week. In the coming weeks, full access is expected to reach all eligible accounts across North America.

Use of Samsung Pay in coinbase does away with the time wastage encountered in bank transfers. The advantages are that users can now deposit with near-instant speed, which allows them the ability to trade digital assets much faster without having to deal with bank processing times.

Samsung Pay has more than 35 million active users in the U.S., providing Coinbase with a huge pool of users in the Samsung Pay ecosystem. This assists in the growth and gives mobile-first customers who want to use wallet-based transactions the opportunity.

The rollout has put emphasis on security. Samsung Wallet is tokenized with biometric validation and a device-level protection slot on Samsung Knox. In addition to these characteristics, Coinbase uses its own version of two-factor authentication and storage systems in offline mode to secure its users’ accounts.

Mobile Payment Expansion Strengthens Coinbase’s Competitive Edge

The partnership marks Coinbase’s second major mobile payment integration following its earlier collaboration with Apple Pay. It highlights the company’s ongoing efforts to make crypto trading more accessible and efficient through mainstream financial tools.

According to Drew Blackard of Samsung Electronics America, the partnership reflects Samsung’s aim to work closely with trusted industry leaders. This is due to this partnership that customers find it less cumbersome to transfer between traditional payment and cryptocurrency in a safe, connected environment.

The move is also a reaction to increased competition in the form of services like PayPal and Cash App that allow users to pay through their wallets, simplifying their entry into crypto. The extension of the mobile payment abilities places Coinbase in a better position to attract even more users and stay on trend in the market.

Samsung Pay integration offers Coinbase users faster and more secure access to trading crypto assets. As the rollout continues, more users will be able to take advantage of instant deposits using one of the most widely used mobile wallets in North America.
