- XRP’s price jump makes top 10 investor status costlier than ever.
- New wallet rankings stir emotions across the XRP investor community.
- $8,000 now needed to join XRP’s elite holder leaderboard.
XRP’s recent surge in price has triggered a significant shift in investor rankings, with the threshold to enter the top 10 percent of holders rising sharply. According to @Xfinancebull on X, the XRP Ocean Ranking System has gone viral for classifying investors by wallet size, sparking reactions across the community.
Under the new system, there are oceanic labels, with Whales at the top with more than 1 million XRP and Plankton at the bottom with more than 1 XRP. The levels are pegged to the number of XRP held by the investor, and they provide a new mechanism for being aware of the tier in the ecosystem.

At a price of $3.14, Plankton holders have assets worth just over $3.14. Shrimp-level investors with 100 XRP will now control $314. Crabs, armed with 1,000 XRP, have portfolios worth $3,140. A couple of rows higher, Fish has ownership of at least 5,000 XRP valued at $15,700.
The step is followed by Dolphins, who possess 10,000 XRP, which amounts to $31,400. Sharks are holding more than 50,000 XRP, which is worth $157,000. Whales own over 100,000 XRP, which is no less than $314,000. On top of that, there are the Mega Whales, which are restraining an XRP with a value of more than $3.14 million.
Price Spike Raises Entry Cost for Top XRP Investors
As XRP now trades at $3.44, the updated XRP Rich List shows that joining the top 10 requires at least 2,446 XRP. This brings about the cost to about $8418, a massive growth over the $1200 that would have been needed a year ago when XRP was valued at around $0.50.
The community’s response was mixed with excitement and frustration. Long-time holders cheered their new status and even worried, as the price increased, making it difficult for newer players to ascend the ladder. Some investors confessed that they had fallen back in the index by selling off recently, but would come up again.
Even with the steep cost to enter, the hopes of building their holdings over time remain high. The ranking system has turned out to be a motivational factor where the supporters of XRP and others are eager to stay invested in and focused on long-term returns.
With XRP crossing the $3.44 mark, breaking into the top 10 now demands serious capital. The updated Ocean Ranking System has intensified interest, and community members continue to react with determination, humor, and ambition as they chase higher ranks.
