Oscar Winner Matt Damon Takes Center Stage at Ripple Swell 2026 in New York City

Summary

  • Matt Damon will headline Ripple Swell 2026, connecting the conference’s institutional finance agenda with Water.org’s humanitarian payment initiatives and programs.
  • Ripple assembled speakers from banking, crypto, investment, and policymaking and combined its Swell and Apex conferences into a single program.
  • Ripple has expanded its institutional services, including Delta One, stablecoins, custody, tokenization, and prime brokerage, across major global financial markets.

Oscar-winning actor Matt Damon will headline Ripple Swell 2026 as a featured speaker, linking the conference with Water.org’s humanitarian work. Ripple will hold the annual event from October 27 through October 29 at The Shed in New York City, in Manhattan.

According to Ripple’s Friday X post, Damon will join executives from banking, cryptocurrency, investment, policymaking, and nonprofit organizations. However, organizers have not revealed Damon’s presentation topic or confirmed the format planned for his appearance at the conference.

Water.org Partnership Strengthens Damon’s Role

Damon co-founded Water.org with Gary White, who will also appear as a featured speaker during Ripple Swell 2026. Their participation carries practical relevance because Water.org already uses Ripple’s financial technology within its international humanitarian programs.

In October 2025, Ripple identified Water.org among organizations using Ripple Payments and the Ripple USD stablecoin for aid delivery. These services can improve funding speed, transparency, and accountability while helping nonprofit organizations move money efficiently across international borders.

Consequently, Damon’s appearance may connect financial inclusion with working applications for blockchain payments, although Ripple has disclosed no session details.

Financial Leaders Join Expanded Speaker Lineup

Bullish Chairman and CEO Tom Farley appears among the speakers alongside Robinhood crypto executive Johann Kerbrat. Other participants include BNY Global Head of Markets Laide Majiyagbe and Intercontinental Exchange strategic initiatives executive Michael Blaugrund.

Additionally, Ripple named Aviva investment director Alastair Sewell, Susquehanna Crypto CEO Chase Lax, and PEAK6 co-founder Jenny Just. Ripple executives Brad Garlinghouse, Monica Long, and David Schwartz also appear on the official conference speaker list. Swell 2026 expects more than 1,500 attendees, 75 speakers, and 50 sessions delivered across three separate stages.

Ripple Expands Its Institutional Strategy

Conference sessions will cover payments, stablecoins, tokenization, regulation, digital asset infrastructure, institutional markets, and XRP utility. Meanwhile, Ripple has expanded beyond cross-border payments through custody, prime brokerage, trading, tokenization, and stablecoin services.

Its Delta One business enables eligible clients to execute total return swaps across American equities, indices, and digital assets. Damon’s involvement gives the conference a humanitarian dimension grounded in Water.org’s existing relationship with Ripple’s blockchain payment infrastructure.
