The newly launched decentralized exchange, PondX has added the trending Shiba Inu (SHIB) to its list of tokens. The latest addition was done earlier today, September 4, and was announced on X (formerly Twitter).
PondX made the decision to integrate the memecoin after a poll on X was completed. The poll was set up on September 2 and PondX asked its users to vote on the next token to be added to its platform.
Other tokens included in the poll include Chainlink (LINK), Rollbit (RLB), and Mog. Per the result, Shiba Inu scored 46.4% making it the favorite to be included on the platform. Chainlink came second with 30.3%, Mog with 14.2%, and Rollbit with 9.2%.

PondX integrates Shiba Inu (SHIB) and users can now swap the token
Following the result, the decentralized exchange aggregator announced that it has included SHIB as a swappable token. When users visit the website, they can now see Shiba Inu (SHIB) alongside Ethereum, Bitcoin, PEPE, its native token POND coin, and stablecoin USDC as swappable tokens.

In addition, the DEX also added a limited 2x reward for the Shiba Inu token. Users can now get rewarded when they swap SHIB on the PondX platform. The reward campaign lasts until September 9.

The integration of SHIB as a swappable token on PondX comes as a welcome development to the Shiba Inu community. Consequently, this will raise the confidence of investors in the project.
This new feat comes shortly after the relaunch of Shibarium. The layer 2 blockchain solution was relaunched on August 28 after its initial release was marred with technical glitches.
Meanwhile, the launch of ShibaSwap on Shibarium has been postponed, according to Shytoshi Kusama – Shiba Inu lead developer, to allow other initiatives on the network to develop. This delay signals the team’s careful growth control while ensuring network security and stability.
With Shiba Inu being in the news for all the right reasons, the price of the SHIB token will most likely be impacted moving forward.

According to a live update from CoinMarketCap, Shiba Inu is trading at $0.0000077 today. The price is down 1.20% in the last 24 hours. What’s more, Shiba Inu has a 24-hour trading volume of $88,252,632 ($88 million). Ultimately, Shiba Inu is ranked #16 on the global cryptocurrency chart with a live market cap of $4,553,869,575 ($4.5 million).
