Ripple CEO Reveals He Would Buy This XRP Meme Coin, Sparks Community Reaction

A light conversation featuring Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse and Ripple President Monica Long has ignited widespread discussion within the XRP community. The clip was shared on X by Web3 enthusiast DS, in which Garlinghouse casually revealed the one meme coin he would consider buying.

While speaking on the topic of meme coins, Garlinghouse admitted that he had never purchased one. Nevertheless, he continued by saying that “perhaps today is the day,” which resulted in Long bringing up a meme coin circulating in the community as “All the Money XRP,” or $ATM.

Reacting to this, Garlinghouse said that should he purchase a meme coin, it would be the $ATM token. The statement was delivered instead in a joking manner, but the explicit reference to $ATM by the top officials at Ripple immediately stirred speculation across the digital asset ecosystem.

Many saw the casual mention as significant, as this is one of the rare instances where Ripple leadership referred directly to a specific community meme coin. Although this was neither officially announced nor endorsed, the mention skyrocketed the popularity of the $ATM coin and the ecosystem it operates in.

Ripple Community Reacts to Mention of $ATM

According to responses under DS’s post, several XRP supporters interpreted Garlinghouse’s remark as more than a passing joke. One user, Live Free, noted that it appeared intentional and suggested there might be undisclosed developments underway involving the $ATM project.

The $ATM meme coin is known for its links to the XRP community and its claimed use within virtual environments like the xSPECTARVERSE. Since the video surfaced, mentions of the coin have increased, although Ripple has yet to issue any official clarification or endorsement.

Though this has not been confirmed, the XRP community is monitoring proceedings. The surprise mention has brought the focus to $ATM and raised questions about its purpose in the larger Ripple ecosystem.

It is worth noting that, although not an official endorsement, Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse publicly mentioned $ATM, addressing the speculations within the community and raising interest in the meme coin. The short clip has attracted attention, and people have been debating the attitude Ripple has towards community-based assets.
