Ripple Partners With CryptEscrow to Expand Crypto Payments Into Real Estate

In Brief:

  • Ripple and CryptEscrow partnered to enable cryptocurrency-funded property purchases through regulated conversion services, allowing sellers to receive traditional fiat payments.
  • Cryptocurrency ownership among Americans reached 67 million, while crypto-funded property purchases increased 35%, highlighting growing demand for digital asset settlements.
  • Ripple also partnered with Arf to bring RLUSD settlement liquidity to XRPL, supporting cross-border payments and approximately $10 billion in settlements.

Ripple has partnered with CryptEscrow to support cryptocurrency-funded property purchases through regulated settlement infrastructure that connects digital assets to traditional real estate transactions. According to the partnership announcement, Ripple’s blockchain infrastructure will integrate with CryptEscrow’s crypto-to-fiat settlement services, enabling cryptocurrency holders to finance property purchases.

Under the arrangement, CryptEscrow will manage cryptocurrency conversion while sellers, developers, and title companies receive payments through established financial channels. This structure is designed so buyers use digital assets without requiring other participants to handle cryptocurrency fluctuations during property transactions.

The partnership will also support high-value real estate transactions while maintaining compliance, transparency, and security throughout the closing process.

Ripple and CryptEscrow Target Growing Demand for Crypto-Funded Property Purchases

The agreement comes amid growing cryptocurrency ownership and increasing use of digital assets to finance residential property acquisitions. Data from the National Cryptocurrency Association estimates that 67 million Americans own cryptocurrency, representing approximately one-quarter of the adult population.

Meanwhile, Deloitte highlighted research showing that property purchases involving cryptocurrency wealth increased 35% year over year. A Redfin survey also found that 12.7% of Gen Z and Millennial homebuyers sold cryptocurrency to finance down payments.

CryptEscrow founder and CEO John Ioannou Jr. welcomed the collaboration, emphasizing the importance of connecting cryptocurrency wealth with traditional property markets.

“We’re thrilled to partner with Ripple as we continue building the infrastructure needed to connect crypto wealth with the real estate market,” Ioannou stated.

Partnership Strengthens Regulated Crypto Settlement Infrastructure

Through the collaboration, CryptEscrow aims to simplify settlement arrangements for property buyers holding substantial cryptocurrency balances across different digital assets. Its infrastructure converts cryptocurrency into fiat currency, allowing conventional real estate closing procedures to operate without significant changes.

Furthermore, the partnership supports CryptEscrow’s efforts to connect digital asset payments with established financial institutions and regulated property settlement systems. Ripple contributes institutional blockchain infrastructure, while CryptEscrow provides settlement services specifically designed for cryptocurrency-funded real estate transactions.

The agreement also connects blockchain payment infrastructure with the growing market for real-world assets and digital financial services.

Ripple Expands RLUSD Settlement Liquidity Through Arf Partnership

Ripple has also partnered with Swiss financial institution Arf to introduce RLUSD-powered settlement liquidity on the XRP Ledger (XRPL). As previously reported, Arf will bring settlement financing services to XRPL, supporting licensed companies handling international payment transactions.

The arrangement combines Ripple’s blockchain infrastructure with Arf’s payment operations, which process approximately $10 billion in annual settlement volumes. Through the partnership, Arf will use Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin to provide short-term working capital for cross-border payment companies.

Both partnerships expand Ripple’s institutional payment infrastructure across real estate settlement and international financial transactions.
