Bitmine Chairman Tom Lee has highlighted Ethereum’s strongest monthly performance against the Nasdaq 100 since July 2025 as the company expanded its Ethereum treasury to 5,797,813 ETH. According to Lee, Ethereum outperformed the technology index by 2,500 basis points during July, reinforcing Bitmine’s long-term commitment to the digital asset and its treasury strategy.
Ethereum Outperformance Reinforces Bitmine’s Strategy
According to Lee, Ethereum’s July performance marked its largest monthly advantage over the Nasdaq 100 in one year. He cited that result while reaffirming Bitmine’s conviction that Ethereum remains a core asset within the company’s long-term investment strategy.

Bitmine also disclosed that it added 10,399 ETH during the past week. Consequently, its total Ethereum holdings reached 5,797,813 ETH, giving the company control of approximately 4.8% of Ethereum’s circulating supply.
At an estimated market price of $1,880 per ETH, the treasury is valued at roughly $10.9 billion. Moreover, Bitmine has now achieved about 96% of its publicly stated objective of holding 5% of Ethereum’s total supply.
Besides expanding its holdings, the company has placed most of its Ethereum to work through staking. Bitmine revealed that 4,917,189 ETH, valued at approximately $9.2 billion, is staked through its MAVAN platform and several staking partners.
The company projects that these staking activities could generate nearly $247 million in annual revenue. Therefore, Bitmine expects to strengthen treasury returns while maintaining long-term exposure to Ethereum.
Share Buybacks and Investments Expand Treasury Position
Lee also disclosed that Bitmine repurchased 4.5 million common shares during the past week because management considered the stock attractively valued. As a result, total buybacks have reached 16.1 million shares since July 1 under the company’s previously authorized $4 billion repurchase program.
Beyond Ethereum, Bitmine reported holding 209 Bitcoin alongside a $180 million stake in Beast Industries, a $61 million investment in Eightco Holdings, and $173 million in cash and marketable securities. Combined cryptocurrency holdings, investments, cash, and marketable securities now total approximately $11.3 billion, further strengthening Bitmine’s position among publicly traded companies with significant digital asset treasuries.
Ethereum traded above $1,800 on Monday despite declining 5.23% over the previous 24 hours, although Lee’s comments placed the focus on the cryptocurrency’s long-term outperformance rather than its short-term price movement.
Bitmine’s latest disclosures show that the company remains focused on expanding its Ethereum exposure while generating additional income through staking. The update also reflects management’s confidence in supporting that strategy with share repurchases and a diversified portfolio of digital asset investments.
