President Donald Trump quietly hosted Pakistan’s military leader, Field Marshal Asim Munir, at the White House for a two-hour closed-door meeting centered on cryptocurrency collaboration. The unusual gathering took place without any accompanying civilian officials, marking a rare diplomatic move in U.S.-Pakistan relations.
According to Reuters, Pakistan’s military confirmed that digital asset development, Bitcoin reserves, and crypto policy frameworks were key points of discussion. This comes in the wake of a new deal signed by Pakistan with World Liberty Financial, a business entity affiliated with Trump’s interests, to develop a national cryptosystem and regulation.

It is noted that during the meeting, the two sides stressed the need to develop stablecoin networks and enhance the capabilities of decentralized finance. New digital finance as a foreign policy resource will be brought to the fore based on the choice of Trump to meet with the Pakistani military chief headfirst. The administration is eager to negotiate in the same direction as the states that will be able to compete with the increased influence of the Chinese digital yuan in the area.
