Japanese publicly traded company Metaplanet has continued its aggressive Bitcoin purchase, this time scooping 108.999 BTC, valued at 1 billion yen (or $6.5 million). The company announced the latest purchase on X (formerly Twitter), informing that it purchased at an average price of 9,174,396 yen per Bitcoin (or $61,652). Consequently, its total Bitcoin holding now stands at 748.502 BTC, worth $45.3 million.
The latest purchase comes shortly after it acquired 108.786 BTC, worth $6.7 million on October 7. Notably, this would be the third time the company has purchased Bitcoin in October, after making the first buy of 23.9 BTC on October 3. With its Bitcoin strategy, Metaplanet positions itself as one of the largest corporate Bitcoin holders in Japan and the world.
