Ripple Likely to Announce Launch Date for RLUSD in its Annual Ripple Swell Event

Blockchain giant, Ripple, is getting set for its annual Ripple Swell event happening in Miami Florida from October 15-16 2024. The event which kicks off today, from 7:30 AM (ET) to 9:00 PM (ET) has sent excitement across the crypto community, particularly for XRP investors who look forward to updates that could potentially trigger a rise in the price of the coin to new heights.

One of the key agendas for the event is a regulatory fireside chat with Stuart Alderoty, Ripple’s chief legal officer, and NYDFS Superintendent Adrienne Harris. Other notable speakers lined up for the event include CEO Brad Garlinghouse, former FDIC Chair Sheila Bair, Tim McCourt of CME Group, Coinbase chief security officer Philip Martin, and Global Head of Blockchain and Digital Assets Francisco Maroto.

One particular update that XRP holders would be looking forward to hearing about is the launch date for the RLUSD stablecoin. Since August 9, the stablecoin has been in a private beta mode on the Ethereum blockchain and the XRP Ledger. Ripple has minted and burned millions of RLUSD in preparation for the launch which is most likely to happen this year. Even though there is no clear launch date yet, the XRP community is hopeful for an announcement at the Ripple Swell event.
