Zama expands ZAMA access across Europe through Revolut listing

Zama expands ZAMA access across Europe through Revolut listing

Summary

  • Zama listed ZAMA on Revolut across the EEA, giving millions of customers direct access alongside self-custody withdrawal options for users.
  • Zama uses fully homomorphic encryption to protect blockchain balances, transactions, and financial positions while applications operate across public networks.
  • Partnerships with Morpho and Steakhouse Financial, alongside the TokenOps acquisition, have expanded Zama’s confidential finance and institutional blockchain infrastructure.

Zama has listed its native ZAMA token on Revolut across the European Economic Area, expanding its availability to millions of customers. The listing gives users another route to access ZAMA while supporting Zama’s broader push into encrypted blockchain finance.

Revolut serves more than 70 million customers, including over 15 million users who already trade cryptocurrencies through its platform. Existing customers can purchase and hold ZAMA without creating another account or completing additional identity checks.

Additionally, trading fees start from zero through the main Revolut application, depending on applicable account conditions. Users can also withdraw ZAMA into self-custody wallets through Revolut’s on-chain transfer infrastructure.

The integration broadens ZAMA’s distribution as Zama develops confidentiality infrastructure for public blockchain networks such as Ethereum. Its technology uses fully homomorphic encryption, commonly called FHE, to protect sensitive blockchain information.

FHE allows applications to process encrypted information without exposing the underlying data during computation. Consequently, balances, transactions, and financial positions can remain private while applications operate on public blockchain infrastructure.

Zama views this technology as a way to introduce privacy features without requiring users to migrate to separate privacy networks. Chief Executive Rand Hindi has also highlighted privacy as an established expectation across conventional financial services.

Zama expands encrypted finance products alongside ZAMA distribution

Besides expanding ZAMA’s availability, Zama has developed several applications designed to move its encryption technology into practical financial services. Its recent initiatives cover decentralized finance, tokenized assets, and institutional token operations.

In June, Zama partnered with Morpho and Steakhouse Financial to launch a confidential decentralized finance yield vault on Ethereum. The product applies encryption to financial activity while maintaining access to Ethereum’s established blockchain infrastructure.

Moreover, Zama acquired TokenOps in May to strengthen encrypted token distribution services for institutional issuers. The acquisition added another potential application for FHE within financial operations requiring greater confidentiality.

Zama also launched ZAMA through a sealed-bid Dutch auction in February. The auction protected more than $121 million in bidding activity using encryption directly on Ethereum.

Significantly, the event provided a large-scale demonstration of Zama’s technology operating on the Ethereum mainnet. It showed how encrypted financial activity could function without moving transactions onto a separate privacy blockchain.

Zama’s infrastructure now covers confidential lending, real-world asset tokenization, and institutional blockchain operations. These areas can involve sensitive financial information that organizations may not want publicly visible.

Revolut listing strengthens Zama’s token accessibility strategy

While Zama expands its encryption infrastructure, the Revolut listing addresses another important part of its ecosystem strategy. It places ZAMA within a financial application already used by millions of cryptocurrency customers.

Furthermore, users can access the token without opening accounts on dedicated cryptocurrency exchanges. They can also transfer their holdings into self-custody, providing another option for managing ZAMA outside Revolut.

The listing therefore connects Zama’s privacy infrastructure development with wider distribution for its native token. ZAMA gains broader European accessibility as Zama builds encrypted financial applications across public blockchain networks.
