Currently, U.S. equity transactions settle within one business day under the T+1 framework. Cross-border transfers can take longer, creating funding gaps for institutions operating across different markets. Ripple Payments will also support international fund transfers from DriveWealth’s global partners, helping improve payment processing across jurisdictions.
Meanwhile, DriveWealth plans to use Ripple’s digital asset custody services in Europe before extending those capabilities into other markets. The partnership also covers potential equity financing opportunities through Ripple Prime’s Delta One business. Both companies will explore institutional financing services involving U.S. equities and equity derivatives.
DriveWealth CEO Naureen Hassan emphasized the importance of aligning funding capabilities with extended trading hours.
“We’ve already enabled 24/5 trading; now we need the funding to match,” Hassan stated.

“DriveWealth came to Ripple with a specific challenge around cross-border settlement,” McDonald stated.
