In Brief:
- XRP Ledger recorded 7,934 new wallets following the Binance hack, marking its sixth-highest daily network growth level of 2026.
- Ripple unlocked 1 billion XRP worth approximately $1.25 billion, with unused tokens typically returned to escrow to manage circulating supply.
- Santiment identified $1.30 as XRP’s bullish recovery threshold, while declining wallet growth and prices below $1.20 could weaken market momentum.
The XRP Ledger recorded a major increase in wallet creation following the Binance hack, despite XRP struggling near $1.25. The development highlights growing network participation as cryptocurrency investors reassess asset security following the exchange’s multibillion-dollar breach.
According to Santiment Intelligence, the network registered 7,934 new wallets on November 1, marking its sixth-highest daily growth in 2026. The increase occurred on a Sunday, when blockchain activity typically remains lower than during weekdays.
The surge followed a turbulent week across cryptocurrency markets, with the Binance security incident raising concerns about centralized asset custody. Santiment suggested that some investors may have created personal wallets to gain greater control over their cryptocurrency holdings, as XRP traded around $1.25 despite increased wallet creation and persistent selling pressure.

XRP Wallet Creation Accelerates Following Binance Security Breach
Santiment’s chart shows that XRP network growth remained relatively subdued throughout July and August, with daily wallet creation generally below 3,000. Activity strengthened during September before another increase emerged toward the end of October. By November 1, the network had recorded 7,934 new wallets, placing the session among its strongest growth periods this year.
Meanwhile, the chart shows XRP trading near $1.2491, while the latest network growth reading stood at approximately 4,101 wallets. This indicates that wallet creation remained above Santiment’s important 4,000 threshold following the November 1 surge.
Besides the price implications, the increase highlights changing activity across the XRP Ledger following the Binance security incident. Growing interest in self-custody could partly explain the development, though Santiment has not established a direct connection.
Ripple Unlocks $1.25 Billion in XRP Amid Rising Network Activity
Meanwhile, Ripple unlocked 1 billion XRP worth approximately $1.25 billion on November 1, adding another development to the cryptocurrency’s market outlook. The scheduled release coincided with increased XRP Ledger wallet creation and persistent selling pressure.
As reported, blockchain tracker Whale Alert identified two transactions involving 500 million XRP each. Each transaction carried an estimated value of $626.43 million, bringing the combined release to approximately $1.25 billion.
Ripple’s escrow system allows monthly releases of up to 1 billion XRP to support liquidity management and operational requirements. Nevertheless, the entire amount does not automatically enter circulation because Ripple typically returns unused tokens to escrow. Historically, the company has relocked approximately 700 million XRP monthly, retaining the remaining tokens for various operational purposes.
Santiment Identifies $1.30 as Key XRP Recovery Level
The analytics platform identified $1.25 as XRP’s immediate price pivot, with $1.30 representing the first bullish confirmation level. A recovery above $1.30, supported by daily wallet creation exceeding 4,000, would strengthen the cryptocurrency’s short-term market outlook.
Conversely, Santiment warned that a decline below $1.20 could weaken XRP’s recovery prospects if network growth also deteriorates. Daily wallet creation falling below 3,000 would further undermine the positive signal identified in the latest data.
Network growth measures newly active wallet addresses rather than individual investors, meaning multiple addresses may belong to the same user. Sustained increases would provide stronger evidence of expanding blockchain participation than a single unusually active session. XRP’s network growth remains elevated despite weaker prices, with Santiment identifying $1.30 as an important recovery threshold.
