Ripple and C2FO have announced a partnership to bring instant supplier payments to the XRP Ledger (XRPL) through blockchain settlement. The collaboration will integrate Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin into C2FO Instant Pay, allowing businesses to receive approved invoice payments within seconds.

According to the joint announcement, the initiative will connect C2FO’s working capital marketplace with Ripple’s blockchain infrastructure. Participating capital providers will fund early payments, while XRPL will handle settlement without changing existing invoice agreements.

XRP Ledger and RLUSD to Enable Supplier Payments Within Seconds

The partnership builds on C2FO’s established financing network, which has facilitated more than $520 billion in working capital. Through this arrangement, both companies aim to reduce delays associated with traditional banking settlement systems.

Businesses across global supply chains often wait between 30 and 90 days to receive payments for delivered goods. Such delays can restrict cash available for payroll, inventory purchases, and other operational expenses.

C2FO already offers early payment solutions through Dynamic Discounting and Dynamic Supply Chain Finance programs. Nevertheless, suppliers can experience additional settlement delays even after receiving approval for early invoice payments.

Under the partnership, participating capital providers will finance approved invoices, with Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin facilitating settlement on XRPL. Suppliers will retain access to C2FO’s existing marketplace while receiving payments through the new blockchain settlement arrangement.

The XRP Ledger processes transactions within three to five seconds, with transaction fees costing fractions of a cent. Additionally, the network operates around the clock, supporting payments beyond conventional banking hours.

Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin will serve as the settlement asset, providing a dollar-backed payment mechanism for participating businesses. The stablecoin has exceeded $2.5 billion in market capitalization, with more than $1 billion issued on XRPL.

Ripple and C2FO Target Broader Access to Working Capital

Meanwhile, C2FO President and COO Americas Ragui Selwanes explained that the partnership strengthens the company’s existing working capital services. Selwanes emphasized that the arrangement could expand financing access without disrupting established supplier relationships or customer experiences.

RippleX Senior Vice President Markus Infanger also highlighted the commercial applications of blockchain settlement within existing financial markets.

“Working capital is a powerful example of where blockchain can make an existing financial market work better,” Infanger stated.

Infanger further explained that XRPL supports financial asset transfers through fast settlement processes and low transaction costs. RLUSD also provides a dollar-backed settlement mechanism for financing approved receivables.

Significantly, the collaboration connects Ripple’s blockchain technology with an established marketplace that already handles substantial commercial financing activity. This integration allows businesses to access early payments while maintaining their existing invoice terms and agreed payment dates.

C2FO has also opened a waitlist for businesses interested in accessing Instant Pay as the company prepares the service. The announcement did not specify an official date for general availability.

The partnership brings Ripple’s XRPL settlement infrastructure into supplier financing, targeting banking delays that can extend payment processing by several days.
