Crypto Influencer Ben Armstrong Gets Arrested on Livestream: See Why

Popular crypto influencer Ben ‘Bitboy’ Armstrong was arrested while ranting on a YouTube livestream on September 26. The popular YouTuber was taken into custody while on a livestream outside the house of a former business partner, Carlos Diaz.

Bitboy had posted earlier on his X (formerly Twitter) account that he would go live from a “special location,” telling his followers to be ready for the broadcast.

The live stream which happened on Carlos’s driveway lasted for approximately 37 minutes. Bitboy had alleged that Carlos was in possession of his Lamborghini.

During the live stream, Ben also alleged that Carlos Diaz has affiliations with the Houston mafia and wants to kill him. In addition, he claimed that Diaz had a plot to take over his company.

Furthermore, at about 3:47 minutes, Bitboy alleged that Carlos Diaz had confirmed that music producer Mike Will Made It, is a Killer.

“Mike Will Made It, according to Carlos is a killer. Carlos says that Mike Will Made It and his dad, wants me dead, […] Mike Will, Carlos is here on your behalf saying that you are telling him to kill me,” he said.

At about 19 minutes into the video, Ben Armstrong was approached by the local police who concerned neighbors had called due to his confrontational behavior. In the video, the police could be seen telling Ben to put down his phone and also asking him about any weapons in his truck.

Ben confirmed that he had a firearm in the backseat of his vehicle. He also told the officers that a woman named Cassie, who most likely is his Co-founder Cassie Wolfe is also in his truck.

After he is confronted by the police, the video goes blank for the remaining 17 minutes though with audio. Armstrong could still be heard in a conversation with the police the whole time.

Armstrong’s removal from Bitboy Crypto

On August 28, Ben Armstrong pathed ways with Bitboy Crypto, leaving the entire crypto community in speculations. At the time, the company announced that he was removed due to misconduct and substance abuse issues.

Following his exit, Armstrong admitted to making poor decisions and letting his followers down in an apology video that was posted on YouTube. However, the new disturbing livestream and subsequent arrest underscores the challenges he has been going through since his departure from the company.

At the time of writing, the charges against the crypto influencer are not yet clear, however, the crypto community is left with speculations as reactions flood X. Story still unfolding.
