Blockchain gaming platform Immutable is preparing to reveal the outcome of a major multibillion-dollar deal. The company’s co-founder Robbie Ferguson confirmed the news in a post on April 21, signaling the end of a two-year-long partnership process.
According to Ferguson, the official announcement will follow shortly, marking a turning point for the company after a challenging regulatory phase. His statement has sparked interest in crypto, as many anticipate a significant shift in the Web3 gaming landscape.
The announcement appeared shortly after a major regulatory milestone. Immutable obtained regulatory authorization from the United States Securities and Exchange Commission. The SEC allowed Immutable to resume operations with its native token IMX by closing its investigation in March 2025 following the Wells notice issued in November 2024.

Law enforcement authorities investigated whether IMX security violations existed. The company resolved the matter independently, allowing them to implement substantial new projects.
Ferguson reported through another post about regulatory closure because it would permit Immutable to boost its operational plans. He stated that the company should progress swiftly because it maintained growth through the regulatory review process.
Platform Growth and Industry Partnerships Support Major Expansion
Even as regulatory pressure loomed, Immutable maintained its development momentum. Over the past year, over five million users joined the company’s streamlined Web3 wallet through Immutable Passport.
The user base succeeded, with only 10 percent of current games integrated into the platform. A massive untapped potential exists because 90% of games are inactive on the platform.
Immutable operates with over 500 supported games that are under development or currently available. Trinsic links the platform to major global firms, including Tencent and Temasek.
Ferguson identifies these company developments as part of a strategic long-term plan rather than immediate financial growth. According to him, the multibillion-dollar transaction emerged from two years of system alignment and groundwork.
Conclusion
Immutable’s upcoming announcement is expected to reshape its role in blockchain gaming. With secured SEC clearance and a strong ecosystem, the company is now positioned to expand through its long-awaited multibillion-dollar deal.
