Peter Brandt Picks Stellar as a Long-Term Bet as XLM Rises Nearly 7%

What to Know

  • Peter Brandt identifies Stellar (XLM) as a speculative pick, while his monthly chart places its recent gains in historical context.
  • XLM gained 6.9% over 24 hours but remains below the descending boundary shown on Brandt’s chart of earlier market cycles.
  • BVNK integrated Stellar into its payments platform, while USDT0 expanded network liquidity without establishing a direct effect on XLM’s price.

Veteran trader Peter Brandt has identified Stellar (XLM) as a speculative cryptocurrency pick for the next several years. According to Brandt’s social media post, XLM is a long-shot pick supported by his monthly chart, while the token trades near $0.2233, up 6.9% over 24 hours, following a move between $0.2071 and $0.2343 that placed its intraday high more than 13% above its low.

Brandt’s choice places Stellar’s long-term price pattern alongside network developments, including BVNK’s September 22 announcement that it had integrated Stellar into its platform. USDT0 also became available on Stellar earlier in September, expanding access to Tether-linked liquidity without establishing a direct effect on XLM’s price.

Brandt’s Chart Shows a Narrowing Pattern Across Several Market Cycles

Brandt’s monthly chart traces XLM back to the 2017–2018 cryptocurrency boom, with a descending line connecting major peaks across later market cycles. Meanwhile, an upward-sloping support line beneath XLM’s long-term price action meets the descending boundary to form a narrowing, multi-year pattern.

Despite gaining nearly 7%, XLM remains well below the upper boundary, so its latest rise does not establish a breakout. The chart also shows a green marker near $1.17605, far above XLM’s reported price around $0.22, although Brandt did not identify it as a target.

Readers cannot treat $1.17605 as a formal forecast or assign it a timetable because Brandt described XLM as a long shot. His post identifies XLM as worth watching over several years without specifying a breakout trigger or linking Stellar’s payment integrations to token demand. Brandt’s comment has drawn attention to XLM during a strong trading session, but the monthly pattern remains unresolved without an explicit target or breakout date.
