Shiba Inu Burn Rate Crashes 100% as Tracker Records Zero SHIB Burns

Shiba Inu Burn Rate Crashes 100% as Tracker Records Zero SHIB Burns

What to Know

  • Shiba Inu recorded zero qualifying burns across 24 hours, pushing its daily burn rate down 100% without indicating any mechanism failure.
  • Weekly and monthly burn rates dropped 69.59% and 88.05% respectively, despite users removing millions of SHIB from circulation permanently.
  • SHIB gained 9% amid broader market strength, while Shibarium operators received updated peer configurations needed to preserve node synchronization stability.

Shiba Inu’s supply reduction campaign entered an unusually inactive period as its burn tracker recorded no qualifying transactions over 24 hours. According to Shibburn website, the daily burn rate consequently crashed by 100%, leaving the recorded burn total at zero SHIB.

The tracker also displayed no burn activity during the previous nine hours, extending the network’s period without token removals. However, the zero reading does not indicate that Shiba Inu’s burn mechanism has stopped functioning or suffered a technical failure.

Instead, the figure means community members sent no qualifying SHIB tokens to designated dead wallets during the measured period. Burn totals often fluctuate because the process largely depends on voluntary transfers, ecosystem activity, and projects supporting supply reduction initiatives.

Shiba Inu burns permanently remove tokens from circulation by transferring them into inaccessible cryptocurrency addresses. Consequently, nobody can retrieve, trade, or return those tokens to the circulating supply once the transactions receive network confirmation.

Although supporters expect burns to reduce supply gradually, inconsistent participation can produce significant variations between daily, weekly, and monthly results. A single large transaction can also reverse weak activity and push the daily rate substantially higher within a short period.

Longer-Term SHIB Burn Figures Reveal Broader Decline

Despite the inactive daily reading, Shibburn data showed that users destroyed 44.60 million SHIB during the previous seven days. However, the weekly burn rate declined 69.59%, indicating that token removals remained lower than the preceding comparable period.

The tracker also recorded 413.44 million SHIB burns over 30 days, while the monthly rate dropped by 88.05%. Therefore, the zero daily figure forms part of a wider slowdown affecting Shiba Inu’s supply reduction campaign during September.

Meanwhile, SHIB gained 9% over 24 hours and traded near $0.00000543 amid improving demand across the broader cryptocurrency market. This price increase showed that short-term market performance did not depend exclusively on the latest burn statistics.

Investors also assessed the Federal Reserve’s interest-rate projections following its first increase in more than three years. Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh emphasized persistent inflation, while policy projections indicated that another increase remained possible.

Shibarium Node Operators Receive Critical Peer Update

Additionally, Shiba Inu community member Mazrael issued an important infrastructure update for Shibarium node operators. New Bor static nodes and Heimdall persistent peers replaced the older configurations, requiring operators to update both files.

Mazrael warned that outdated configurations could reduce the peer count to zero and prevent affected nodes from synchronizing properly. Consequently, infrastructure maintenance remains essential for preserving stable connections across Shibarium’s network.

Shiba Inu’s zero-burn period highlights weakening token removal activity, although it does not confirm any failure within the burn mechanism. Broader weekly and monthly declines show reduced participation, while SHIB’s price performance remains influenced by wider market conditions and investor demand.
