XRP Ledger Enters Critical Phase With Surprise XRPL 3.2.0 Development

  • Vet reveals XRPL 3.2.0 development as Ripple expands network security operations.
  • XRPL developers prioritize stability upgrades while transaction activity continues rapidly increasing.
  • XRP Ledger strengthens tokenization growth through expanding decentralized finance infrastructure.

XRP Ledger developer Hussein Zangana, known as Vet on X, has revealed that XRPL 3.2.0 is already under development as Ripple expands efforts to strengthen the network’s infrastructure and security systems. According to Vet, the upcoming software version represents another step toward reinforcing the foundation supporting the XRP Ledger ecosystem.

The disclosure arrived while XRPL version 3.1.3 continues moving through its activation period. XRPScan data shows the release entered a two-week activation timeline and could become active on May 27, 2026. The update includes the fixCleanup3_1_3 amendment together with several fixes connected to NFTs, Vaults, Permissioned Domains, and the lending protocol.

According to Vet, XRPL’s AI-powered red team operations and bug bounty campaigns are also delivering stronger security results across the network. The security effort remains important as the XRP Ledger handles increasing activity and more advanced ecosystem functions. Ripple introduced its AI-focused security initiative earlier this year. The company established a dedicated red team responsible for examining XRPL code interactions and testing feature behavior under real-world conditions.

Ripple Pushes XRPL Stability as Network Complexity Grows

The XRP Ledger has operated continuously since 2012 and now supports a significantly larger blockchain environment. Network records show XRPL has processed more than 100 million ledgers and over 3 billion transactions during its operational history. Consequently, developers appear focused on strengthening infrastructure reliability before introducing additional major upgrades. Recent XRPL releases concentrated heavily on maintenance improvements and security fixes instead of large feature launches.

Besides the software updates, the XRP Ledger ecosystem continues expanding across the tokenization sector. XRPL recently climbed to fourth place on the RWA.xyz league table within less than one year. That growth positioned XRPL among the fastest-growing real-world asset ecosystems in the blockchain industry.

Additionally, developers continue preparing the MPTVersion2 amendment known as XLS-82. The proposal would extend Multi-Purpose Token support into XRPL’s decentralized exchange infrastructure. The integration would allow MPT assets to participate directly in Automated Market Maker pools, order book offers, cross-currency payments, and check-based transfers. Consequently, XRPL developers continue positioning the network for broader decentralized finance activity while maintaining infrastructure stability.

The development of XRPL 3.2.0 signals that Ripple and XRPL contributors remain focused on strengthening network reliability during a period of expanding ecosystem activity. As transaction volume and blockchain complexity increase, developers continue prioritizing security, maintenance, and long-term operational stability across the XRP Ledger.
