What to Know
- XRP Ledger processed 1,143,754 payments on September 27, nearly 29% above its 30-day average, alongside elevated transactions and active accounts.
- Payment transactions can move XRP or issued assets, so higher counts do not necessarily establish more buyers or individual users.
- XRP retreated toward $1.49, leaving $1.45–$1.50 as support while $1.60 and $1.65 remain potential recovery hurdles despite stronger ledger activity.
XRP Ledger payments reached 1,143,754 on September 27, extending a broader increase in network activity throughout the month. According to XRPSCAN data, that figure stood nearly 29% above the 30-day average of approximately 887,600 payments.
Several September readings also exceeded one million payments, indicating that the latest figure was not an isolated spike. Meanwhile, broader ledger statistics showed roughly 2.7 million transactions, 17,800 active accounts, and payment volume approaching $400 million.
Together, those figures show substantial network use, although they measure different activities and cannot explain the increase independently. The transaction total includes multiple operations, while the payment count covers one specific type of ledger transaction.
Active accounts provide another measure of participation, but they do not establish how many individual people used the network. One business can operate multiple accounts, while automated systems may submit numerous payments through a relatively small group of accounts.
The September increase coincided with XRP’s recovery from around $1.28 to above $1.60 earlier in the month. However, elevated ledger activity has not prevented the token from retreating toward $1.49 following that advance.

Payment Transactions Include XRP Transfers and Other Ledger Assets
The XRP Ledger’s Payment transaction type handles direct XRP transfers alongside issued tokens and payments involving different currencies. Consequently, the September 27 total does not mean 1.14 million people sent XRP, bought the token, or entered the market.
Exchanges and applications can generate repeated payments while processing customer transfers, settlements, or other routine network operations. Nevertheless, the published total does not identify which services generated the increase or how much activity involved XRP.
The network’s liquidity infrastructure provides additional context, with approximately 31,200 automated market maker pools appearing in the cited figures. Those pools support trading across ledger assets, although their number does not establish a direct cause for the payment spike.
Likewise, payment volume approaching $400 million does not reveal how much XRP investors purchased or kept in their wallets. The figures establish higher ledger use, but they leave the makeup of that activity and its price impact uncertain.
XRP Price Tests Support Despite Higher Ledger Activity
XRP’s immediate support area sits between $1.45 and $1.50, following its decline from the September move above $1.60. If buyers defend that range, the token could attempt another advance toward the $1.55 to $1.60 area.
A move above $1.60 would bring the recent $1.65 high back into view as the next potential resistance level. Conversely, losing $1.45 could expose $1.40, followed by the stronger moving-average support area between $1.35 and $1.37.

The payment increase shows that ledger activity remains above its recent average, even as XRP trades below its September high. Whether that activity persists, and which assets drive it, remains unresolved by the daily payment count alone.
