- SBI’s Rain Tree campaign offers XRP, Bitcoin, and Ethereum rewards.
- Eligible applicants also receive NFTs and 500 NIDT tokens.
- Promotion expands XRP exposure through consumer payments and entertainment.
SBI Holdings has introduced a new promotion that allows Rain Tree fans to earn XRP rewards through its SBI VISA Crypto Card, expanding the cryptocurrency’s exposure among mainstream consumers in Japan. According to SBI Holdings Chairman Yoshitaka Kitao, eligible participants who register for the card during the campaign period will receive crypto rewards, exclusive NFTs, and additional digital incentives linked to the popular idol group.
The campaign will run from June 16 to June 30 and targets supporters of Rain Tree, a 16-member Japanese music group. Participants who complete the application and registration process during the promotional window will qualify for several blockchain-based rewards.
Notably, XRP is one of the featured assets in the campaign, and consequently, the initiative has attracted interest from members of the XRP community who view the promotion as another example of the asset reaching consumers through practical financial products.

XRP Included in Multi-Asset Rewards Program
According to Kitao, successful applicants will receive cryptocurrency rewards that include Bitcoin, Ethereum, and XRP. Eligible users will also gain access to exclusive NFT collectibles created specifically for the campaign. Additionally, participants will receive 500 NIDT tokens as part of the incentive package. Therefore, SBI is combining several digital asset products within a single consumer-focused promotion.
While the campaign is designed around Rain Tree’s fan base, it also serves as a vehicle for introducing cryptocurrencies to a wider audience. Rather than emphasizing trading activity, the initiative connects digital assets with a familiar rewards experience. Moreover, cardholders can choose Bitcoin, Ethereum, or XRP as their preferred reward asset once they begin using the SBI VISA Crypto Card. This structure gives XRP a direct role within the company’s rewards ecosystem.
SBI Continues Its Long-Term XRP Strategy
SBI has maintained close ties with Ripple and XRP-related initiatives for years. The financial group has consistently supported projects that explore blockchain technology and digital asset utility across financial services.
The latest campaign aligns with that strategy by incorporating XRP into a product aimed at everyday consumers. As a result, users can interact with the cryptocurrency through spending rewards rather than through investment platforms alone.
Furthermore, the promotion introduces XRP to individuals who may have limited experience with digital assets. By linking cryptocurrency rewards with entertainment and consumer payments, SBI is broadening the asset’s reach beyond traditional crypto circles.
XRP Reaches a Broader Consumer Audience
Consumer reward programs have become an increasingly common method for introducing digital assets to new users. Consequently, companies are exploring ways to integrate cryptocurrencies into products that consumers already understand and use regularly.
For XRP, the Rain Tree campaign represents another opportunity to increase visibility within Japan’s retail market. Through crypto rewards, NFTs, and token incentives, SBI is creating additional exposure for the asset while expanding the use of its crypto card platform.
SBI’s latest promotion places XRP alongside Bitcoin and Ethereum in a consumer rewards campaign tied to one of Japan’s popular music groups. By combining entertainment, digital assets, and everyday payments, the company is extending XRP’s presence to a broader audience of potential users.
