Stellar (XLM) Records 14.16 Million Transactions as Network Fees Remain at $0.00012

Summary

  • Stellar processed 14.16 million transactions on October 23, averaging 163.9 TPS while maintaining low network fees of just $0.00012.
  • Stellar’s Protocol 28 upgrade improved transaction processing, while stablecoin transfers reached $25.1 billion and tokenized assets totaled $4.1 billion.
  • Stellar surpassed 11 million accounts, attracted nearly 4,000 developers, and maintained 99.99% uptime amid growing demand for blockchain services.

Stellar (XLM) processed 14.16 million transactions on October 23, marking its busiest day of the month despite maintaining minimal network fees. According to Chainspect data, the blockchain averaged 163.9 transactions per second (TPS), reflecting increased activity across its payment infrastructure.

Network demand remained elevated on October 24, with processing speeds reaching 224.6 TPS during peak periods. Despite the heavier traffic, Stellar maintained an average transaction fee of $0.00012, demonstrating stable transaction costs.

Stellar Transaction Activity Surges Following Protocol 28 Upgrade

Stellar’s transaction milestone follows several infrastructure improvements aimed at increasing processing capacity and supporting higher network demand. Earlier, on October 11, the blockchain processed approximately 12 million transactions, averaging 139 TPS while maintaining similarly low fees.

The September implementation of Protocol 28, known as Adapter, introduced improvements designed to increase transaction processing efficiency. Following the upgrade, Stellar recorded throughput of 217.4 TPS across a 100-block measurement window on September 26.

Additionally, the blockchain integrated Chainlink price data feeds on October 14, expanding its infrastructure for decentralized financial applications. Developers are preparing Protocol 30, known as Bell, with validators expected to vote on the upgrade in the coming days.

Stablecoin Transfers and Tokenized Assets Support Stellar Network Growth

Stellar’s increasing transaction activity coincides with substantial growth across its stablecoin and tokenized real-world asset sectors. Network figures for the third quarter of 2025 showed financial transaction volume reaching $33.2 billion, representing 71% quarterly growth.

Meanwhile, stablecoin transfer volume increased 121% to $25.1 billion, marking a 314% increase compared with the previous year. USDT0 contributed approximately $200 million in transaction turnover within ten weeks, supporting increased stablecoin activity across the blockchain.

Besides stablecoin transfers, Stellar’s tokenized real-world asset sector reached $4.1 billion, reflecting expanding institutional participation. The blockchain also supported an institutional repurchase agreement backed by tokenized U.S. Treasury securities through USDM1 tokens.

Notably, the transaction incorporated automatic collateral rollover, adding another institutional financial application to Stellar’s expanding network infrastructure.

Stellar Developer Activity Expands as Network Accounts Exceed 11 Million

Stellar’s development ecosystem has also expanded, with nearly 4,000 developers reportedly contributing to its blockchain infrastructure. The network ranked second among Layer 1 blockchains for active developers, reflecting growing participation in its technical development.

Additionally, Stellar accounts surpassed 11 million, indicating increasing adoption across its payment and digital asset ecosystem. Despite rising transaction demand, the blockchain maintained reported uptime of 99.99%, supporting consistent operations during periods of elevated activity.

These developments accompany ongoing infrastructure improvements as Stellar prepares additional upgrades to strengthen transaction processing and network capacity.

Conclusion

Stellar’s October transaction record highlights growing network activity alongside stable processing fees and expanding institutional financial applications. The upcoming Bell upgrade represents another development in the blockchain’s infrastructure expansion.
