- XRPL Labs launched Xaman Swap for native asset trading on XRPL.
- The feature allows direct swaps of XRP, RLUSD, USDC, and other tokens.
- Xaman Swap uses advanced routing to identify liquidity paths on XRPL.
XRPL Labs has launched Xaman Swap, enabling users to trade XRP Ledger assets directly through the Xaman wallet. According to the company, the new feature connects users to the XRPL’s native exchange while preserving full control of funds and private keys. The launch introduces a dedicated xApp that allows users to swap XRP, RLUSD, USDC, and other XRPL-based assets without leaving the wallet. Moreover, all transactions are executed directly on the XRP Ledger, eliminating the need for third-party custody.
XRPL Labs said Xaman Swap relies on the ledger’s decentralized exchange, automated market makers, and path-finding capabilities. As a result, users can access on-ledger liquidity through a single interface while maintaining a self-custodial experience. Robert Kiuru, Chief Operating Officer at XRPL Labs, said the XRP Ledger has offered exchange functionality for years. According to Kiuru, Xaman Swap makes those capabilities easier to access and use within Xaman.

Xaman Swap Uses Advanced Routing to Access XRPL Liquidity
A major component of the launch is the routing engine behind Xaman Swap. According to XRPL Labs, the feature searches multiple liquidity paths across the XRP Ledger before selecting a route. Many swap platforms rely on direct token pairs or simple XRP bridges. However, Xaman Swap evaluates additional routes that may pass through intermediary assets already available on the ledger.
Consequently, traders may receive better pricing opportunities, particularly when swapping assets with lower liquidity. XRPL Labs noted that the routing system identifies paths already available on the network rather than creating new ones. Additionally, the platform suggests a slippage setting based on the expected market impact of each transaction. Users can modify that setting before approving a trade.
The launch expands access to a growing list of assets available on the XRP Ledger. Besides XRP, users can swap stablecoins such as RLUSD and USDC, along with other ecosystem-issued tokens. XRPL Labs stated that available trading pairs depend entirely on the liquidity present on the ledger. Therefore, routes and exchange rates may vary as market conditions change.
Users can access Xaman Swap through the xApps section within the Xaman wallet. Once inside, they can select the asset they want to trade, review transaction details, and sign directly on their device.
Launch Strengthens Self-Custodial Trading on XRPL
The introduction of Xaman Swap highlights continued efforts to simplify access to the XRP Ledger’s native trading infrastructure. By combining on-ledger settlement, route optimization, and self-custody, the feature offers a direct way to exchange XRPL assets within a single application.
XRPL Labs also reminded users that asset swaps carry risks, including slippage, volatility, and changing liquidity conditions. The company added that users should review all transaction details carefully before signing.
