Furthermore, 22,374 ETH (worth $34.7 million) tokens were transferred from an anonymous wallet to the Coinbase exchange in a single transaction. The reasons behind these huge transactions are unknown and they have raised speculations among members of the crypto community.
Besides Bitcoin and Ethereum, the popular altcoin XRP was also spotted on the move. Two separate transfers carrying 30,100,000 and 22,850,000 XRP tokens to Bitstamp and Bitso respectively were also recorded. The value of these two transactions is approximately $25.9 million.
The movement of huge amounts of XRP to Bitstamp and Bitso exchanges is becoming increasingly common. However, this can be attributed to the increasing usage of Ripple payments.
